My Anti Drug

My Anti Drug would be doing hobbies to keep myself distracted from doing anything that is bad. I enjoy being part of the Bell High School Swim Team because it takes up any of the time I would have to do anything I'm not supposed to do. I see students all the time making bad decisions in their lives and it upsets me that no one does anything to help them. I would like that if I ever fell into a bad choice I would have someone there to mentor me and tell me whats right from wrong. Watching this documentary made me realize that sometimes things can go the opposite as it was planned but there's always ways to escape from that whether it is a sport, a hobby, a game, a place, doesn't matter as long as it has positive vibes. Other than swimming, my Anti Drug would be to just hang out with my family and close ones all the time, keep them near where they can mentor me and advice me to do things right. Luckily my family is amazing and are able to be there for me when I'm in need of them and I believe part of that is why I haven't made any choices I would regret in the future. My future is up to me and I wouldn't like to ruin it because of a silly mistake I made. Yes, we learn from mistakes but sometimes we learn that those mistakes will continue to happen from cause of bad influences.

An Inconvenient Truth

What I learned about the documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth” was that  there are a lot of issues in this world that not that many people are aware of. The  one thing that SURPRISED me the most is how climate changes are affecting  our world right before our eyes and we don’t realize it. Florida in a few years  could become an under water state and the citizens of Florida will be living like  the citizens of Bikini Bottom in Spongebob Squarepants. There are several things that can affect how we live and the daily things people do like maybe one day it  might be so hot or so cold we wont even be able to go outside. Things like these  should be topics that people should think twice about and look after because  everything can be gone in a flash. I was surprised when AL Gore spoke of Florida in a few years would be gone because of global warming because I actually  visited Florida, September of 2013 and everything looked so beautiful and green.  The nature in Florida is brightening and like nothing seen before. It upsets me   that all that can be gone to waste because of severe weather conditions caused  by chemicals and such in the air. Natural disasters are common and people don’t prepare for them. Earthquake in Chile, Haiti, Hurricanes in Mexico, Florida etc.  and no one expects them yet they know it will happen so why cant citizens just  be aware of facts like these because they might not even know they’re only  hurting themselves and the people around them.
