Compassionate Science

I believe I have the potential to make a change in this world whether it's for myself, someone else or  everyone. Something I would like to change is the way people are seen in this world. Not everyone is seen the same, people are constantly judged for who they are and I believe that should change. Protests can be made for equality, justice or for whatever the cause may be. I think many take their lives and the lives of others for granted. Not many are compassionate about things, there's no feelings for others, most of the time no one cares for each other. There was one time my family and I were going to church Sunday night at around 7 o'clock and we had happened to see a small white poodle walking on the sidewalk. We knew immediately the dog would try to cross while cars were moving and sooner or later, it did. In my car, screams were so loud as if the whole block could hear us, we were desperate to get the dog out of the road. But then, this van came along, windows possibly 2 inches open, doesn't see the dog and from the blink of your eye it wasn't our screams you could hear but instead, the dogs. The vehicle stopped for a second, didn't hear anything and continued to drive as the tire rolled over on the dogs paw. The poor dog screaming, crying, hoping on 3 legs with the 4th squished and covered in blood. Immediately my brother in law got off the car tried to get the dog as it tried to run off, took it to the bus stop across the street and laid it down. We called "animal control," and waited for them to arrive, which in fact, NEVER SHOWED UP, just saying. Being a good samaritan, we went to the liquor in the corner and got a box to put the dog in. We drove to the shelter and dropped the dog off. They told us the dog was in good hands and they appreciated we had taken the dog before it was too late. In my opinion, there aren't many people who would do that, many would just leave the dog there and let it somehow cure itself which to me is cruel. People see shares on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, other social medias and never act upon it when in fact they should.

THE FUTURE!

I believe the future in 1,000 years from now the world is going to be filled with technology. Education wise, there might be home schooling, computer teachers, flying vehicles, bubble homes, who knows! But then again, what if theres more poverty in this world? Rich generations continue to make rich generations, they might take over the world, use us as workers, lets just hope were all treated equally and the same as we are now. The future I believe will happen is space ships used as airplanes, cars with wings to take you to your destination or even robots as house maids, or waiters at restaurants. I don't know, our world is confusing, its difficult to understand what it really will be like several years from now. Our facial structures might change, we might look like aliens for all we know or even like some sort of futuristic animal. Earth might develop into more heat or more cold, there might be an ice age, there might even be a santa, or even worse, THE END OF THE WORLD! Yes because you know our society is so crazy they actually believe that will happen, of course not. The most we'll get will probably life on mars or field trips to the galaxy or something. Who knows, we might have talking animals or lion looking sharks. That would be strange. Or maybe the world will be covered in diamonds and they'll just be seen as rocks in the dirt, money will actually grow on trees. The world will have so much advances that technology might take us over, we will become so lazy, instead of a human revolution it will be a robot revolution. Let's see what happens in 1,000 years guys!

     What's so funny?

The time I laughed REALLY REALLY hard was when I was told a joke by one of my siblings. The joke was so funny I remember I almost peed and my stomach hurt so bad I felt as if it was cramping up. When I laugh, I usually laugh silently and just turn really red that even a tear comes out of my eye. Well, the joke went something like, "I'm going to say 5 words, after every word say the first color that comes to your mind. Clouds *white*, Sky *white*, Paper *white*, Chalk *white*, Wedding Dress *white*. Now say the word 'white' 10 times. *White, white, white, white, white, white, white, white, white, white*. What do cows drink? *Milk*. Nope, they drink water." Point is, since the word white had been said so many times the only answer that comes to mind is the word milk since its white. Well, its not that funny so heres another story. One day, my best friend and I went to the mall, and after the mall my sister dropped her off at home. As we were getting to her block, my sister forgot where my friends house was so as she was about to pass her house I shouted, "Stop!" and from 20mph she came to a complete stop. All you can hear is laughed and laughing in the back seat. We realized that we stopped so hard my friend and I smacked into the front seats and my friend got stuck between the seat. Well, thats the end of my terrible experience with the passenger seat.

Modern Times Review

Modern Times, in my opinion, is an interesting story with a good message. At the beginning we see a metaphor was used to compare people to a herd of sheep. The idea of the metaphor was to show the audience that looking for a job isn't always easy. Throughout the plot of the story Charlie Chaplin, known as "The Little Tramp," meets a girl known as "The Gammin" and imagines himself in a future with her. In the end, he gives a message that we should always smile, and goes off with 'The Gammin'. Modern Times allowed the audience to understand what it's like to work in the factories and be treated unequally or selfishly. We see Chaplin having muscle spasms because his arms are accustomed to the hard work with wrenches in the factory. Overall, the plot of the story was amazing and the fact that Chaplin created it himself makes it even better because it must've taken a lot of hard work.
